Things that are bad about perl

I haven’t written that much perl, so bear in mind that bits of this may be wrong.

Perl doesn’t detect a lot of things that are likely to be errors

Parameter passing
You probably shouldn’t be able to call a function with the wrong number of arguments.

Implicit coercion
This is awfully confusing.

Undef on look up

I think that as a rule looking up an unknown key is an error.
